WTEplus

WTEplus

With Web2.0 around for a few years now (it's birth is attributed to the fertile thought leadership exercise at the occasion of the Friends of O'Reilly Camp, September 2004), the next wave  is glimpsing around the corner. Its scope is currently under definition: semantics, reasoning, 3D & virtual environments, autonomous operation and distributed data repository. These elements are brought together using advanced workflow techniques through which functional assets are composed using an intuitive visual environment.

The project proposes to research the following

  • Definition of a vision beyond Web2.0/Telco2.0/Enterprise2.0 starting from an in depth analysis of market and technology trends;
  • Implementation of the vision under form of the definition of a WTEPlus framework;
  • Research on a number of key functional elements of the framework: workflow and service assurance;
  • Development of a number of Proof of Concepts in the three application domains;
  • Study of value chains and business models unleashed by WTEPlus, socioeconomic impact and technologies in support of enabling the business models.
