VACF

The main goal of this IBBT-project is researching and constructing a prototype for the Virtual Arts Centre of the Future . Kunstencentrum Vooruit functions as a pilot, but the
model will be applicable and expandable towards the broad cultural sector. The aim of VACF is the development of three strongly integrated demonstrators: a web  platform, a 3D environment and a decentralised collective Customer Relationship Management application (CRM).

The information society is a challenge and an opportunity for the cultural sector. E-culture and digitalisation make much more possible. The offer of digital storage media, or other art and presentation forms, is continuously growing, whereby the sector becomes acquainted with new forms of communication and interaction.

The VACF project is conducting research into building a prototype for the virtual arts centre of the future. The Kunstencentrum Vooruit functions as a laboratory and must provide a useful model for the entire cultural sector.

Concretely, it is in the process of realising three demonstration systems: A web platform, a 3D environment and customer relationship management (CRM) system, integrated as much as possible.
