T-CASE

T-CASE

T-Case conducts research in three crucial domains: providing services to end users, the surrounding in which services and business logic are implemented, and the common services that can be delivered. Every improvement established in one of these domains will accelerate market acceptance of these ICT services.

Within the project both implementation of prototypes and conceptual studies are taken into account. Research is conducted on data management, enforcement of security, setting rules - for example service level agreements - and the development of support for context and location-sensitive features.

When setting up a service platform, some important questions must be addressed

  • Which techniques for security and data management need to be implemented from the start?
  • How can functionality be built in so the platform can take the context and location of the user into account?
  • Which technologies are most adequate for the deployment of services which take the network of the user into account?

Different proofs-of-concept implementations will have to be developed to judge the feasibility and results of the various aspects.
