To this end we use technology similar to what is used by Tom Cruise in the Hollywood blockbuster "Minority Report" (2002).
This entails multi-touch 2D screens and 3D gesture recognition (cfr. figure), but with some non-negligible improvements:
- we do not require the user to carry gloves,
- beyond 2D data, we also target manipulation of 3D data,
- we intend to integrate real and virtual world data while manipulating the scenes,
- we are not obliging the participants to stand up and wave their arms all the time to support the interaction,
- we aim at collaborative setups,
- we target proof-of-concept demonstrators.
