COPLINTHO

The most important driving force of Coplintho is the support and social integration of people who are cared for in their home environment, with attention to the stimulation of “independent living” and a more active participation in their own health process.

For the development of such an e-Home care environment, Coplintho considers both the technical and the non-technical aspects. Non-technical aspects are for example regulations, liability and the social impact of an e-Home care environment, while protecting the patient’s privacy. The social aspects, too, with regard to the introduction of new technology within the home care setting are very important to all actors concerned, in particular the matter of the roles, expectations and/or possible thresholds in the introduction of ICT within home care.
