Examples of this phenomenon: standardization and e-business/e-commerce communities, interdisciplinary research organizations such as IBBT and the collaborative research projects between IBBT and its industry partners.

Motivated by these challenging new settings, the goal of CoCoNut is to research the social models, the processes, and the technology solutions that will enable a more efficient communication, coordination and collaboration among remote interdisciplinary teams. In order to achieve these goals, communication, coordination and collaboration within and among the different IBBT research groups will be thoroughly researched.
