Plug & Play 2010 |Selection process | Program Selected companies 

 

Companies with a unique technological and business proposition and a clear intention to grow were considered for the selection process and could submit their candidacy to IBBT and/or Flanders Investment & Trade until November 15th 2010.  IBBT reached as many interested parties as possible through a network of partner organizations active in the sector, such as plugMedia and the BetaGroup.

Based on the criteria for submission and the business pitch, a selection of ICT starters were invited for the evaluation days which took place over 3 days in December 2010. During this evaluation the participants presented their organization to an independent jury, made up of Silicon Valley and European experts.

During this evaluation the participants will present their organization to an independent jury, made up of Silicon Valley and European experts.

 

Companies had to meet the following criteria to qualify:

  • It concerns an existing enterprise with real products (of which at least one working prototype can be presented) 
  • The enterprise has minimum 2 team members, one of which can be delegated to the US for a period of three months 
  • You can present a business plan in max. 10 slides

The selected enterprises were invited to pitch their organization at the “venture track” of the iMinds conference on December 16, 2010. A number of the participants selected there were given the chance to travel to the Belgian Pavilion in early 2011, for a stay of 3 months and a personalized coaching program.
