IBBT has an extended network of partners within the ICT sector. Their wide range underlines the multidisciplinary character of IBBT projects and stimulates cross-pollination with other sectors, among them the cultural and academic world. Within the network of partners, three types of partners can be distinguished.
- IBBT has an extended network of more than 120 project partners, these are companies and organizations that collaborate on IBBT research projects.
- IBBT collaborates closely with a number of companies and organizations that focus on research and development. These alliance partners are involved in determining the long term vision and te market offering of IBBT. IBBT confers with these partners on a regular basis to define promising research areas, exchange knowledge and expertise, and develop new contacts.
- IBBT is building long term partnerships with a number of companies and organizations. These strategic partnerships transcend ongoing projects and involve close collaboration on many fronts and the development of joint research strategies. Alcatel-Lucent Bell is the first strategic partner of IBBT.
