Incubation

From the start, IBBT has given a lot of attention to maximizing the valorisation potential of the research results. The collaboration model for these projects provides a well-balanced and transparent settlement as concerns rights of ownership and access rights so as to allow all partners involved to make use of the valorisation potential of the project. The companies are assumed to have their own capacity to this purpose, but some extra support is often desirable.

IBBT therefore provides the research groups from the knowledge institutions as well as the partner companies with a whole range of actions supporting the valorisation of the research results:

  • incubation projects: coaching & actual implementations of ventures
  • iStep: focus on 'learning & teaching'
  • iBoot camp: creating a multidisciplinary business team
  • iCubes: logistics, technical and general support
  • iVenture: preseed capital fund
