The workshop IP Strategy focuses on the protection of intellectual property (e.g. by means of a patent) as well as the direct practice of IPR in your business environment. It is often not realized that acquired knowledge, original ideas or inventions - as long as they are not protected ? can be used by others. Especially in an early stage business development or start-up, this is common due to the huge amount and diversity of priorities overwhelming you then. From experience we know however that it is of great importance to think about these issues even in the very beginning, and consider taking action as soon as possible.

Therefore, this workshop will explore the set up and the practical aspects of an intellectual property policy or even culture. In other words, not just in theory, but also from a practical point of view the main message of intellectual property (rights) for your enterprise will be clarified.

On the program we have following subjects amongst others: IP and patents in ICT environment lectured by an EPO Examiner, patent prosecution and enforcement based on the experience of a US Patent Attorney active on European grounds, implementing the IP theory in your business activities will be given by a Business Professional.
