Workshop and coaching

Students are able to participate in workshops and coaching activities. IBBT works with a number of experienced professionals to guide students competently through the program.

Leo Exter is the founder of WeStartup, a social network for entrepreneurs, co-founders, mentors and investors.  He’s also one of the organizers of Startup Weekend and Bizcamp Belgium, and serves as Board Member of the Vlerick MBA Alumni section.  In his past life he worked as a marketer in FMCG (The Coca-Cola Company), dot-coms (Info2clear), consumer tech (Mio Technology) and in a PR agency (Grayling).

Students who wish to attend Leo’s workshops shouldn’t expect grand theory. On the contrary, his workshops are well-known for their 100% practical orientation. The subjects are based on feedback from startup entrepreneurs and are facilitated by mentors with hands-on experience.

The places for these workshops are limited, so only registered students can participate.

SO kwadraat is an organization that guides young starters through the different phases of building their own company. The SO kwadraat team recently published a practical guidebook for startups (‘Vlaanderen in start-up mode – Een doe-gids voor de high tech starter’) and is now coaching young entrepreneurs to put their lessons into practice.

The coaching sessions by SO kwadraat are more individually oriented, meaning that the startups can count on individual advice when it comes to answering specific questions.  By means of this on-demand coaching, young entrepreneurs gain insight into how they can further develop and valorize their business concept.

With the support of our coaches we are able to take this program to a higher level. Our participants will develop entrepreneurial abilities needed to identify and exploit business opportunities. The approach is action-orientated; we aim to get concrete things done.
