Viloc stands for Vigilant Locating Systems and wants to offer tailored object protection and asset management for the construction sector.

Viloc has developed a system specifically for this based on active RFID Tags with an intelligent radio protocol.

With the information we receive from the system we can program all manner of smart alarms to improve logistical processes and also combat the large number of thefts.

Each year around EUR 80,000,000 is lost in Belgium as a result of theft on building sites. On top of this there are the indirect costs, which are estimated at a further 50% of this sum.

The Flemish start-up Viloc wants to offer a solution to this problem in the construction sector via a security system based on RFID tags. As a Flemish research institute that encourages innovation in ICT, IBBT is investing in this promising starter and is also providing specific support for business development.
