Network technologies
Multiple network technologies are present at iLab.t to enable end-to-end (user-to-user) testing, with special attention to broadband access technologies.
An example of a generic setup is a backbone network based on gigabit Ethernet, which interconnects five different access technologies: Ethernet, Cisco Long Reach Ethernet (LRE), 802.11a/b/g wireless, cable, and xDSL (ADSL, ADSL2, and VDSL).This kind of setup facilitates the testing of a particular application (e.g. IP telephony, video) over multiple access technologies.
