Paris Region Innovation Tour

The PARIS REGION INNOVATION TOUR 2008 (www.prit2008.eu) was a big success: over 1400 participants, of whom 1 on 5 of foreign origin. Thanks to the serious efforts of FIT (Flanders Investment and Trade, there was a large participation of mostly Flemish companies and Clusters that had gone to Paris to establish interesting contacts. At the helm of the delegation were Systematic, Cap Digital and Advancity, active in Telecom, open source, mobility, logistics, security,... All innovation themes that are important to IBBT.

The speed dating sessions that were planned before the event by MarTec did not always run smoothly, but still most participants succeeded in estabilishing contacts. The human factor is still the most important starting point.

The VRT interview linked below gives the atmosphere and the ambitions of the successful Innovation Tour. IBBT participated with two spin offs Vodtec and Mobixx. You will hear (in Dutch) Bram De Meur (IC-Sense, a spin off from Leuven), Luc Fabry (FIT) and Olivier De Cock (IBBT).
