Friday Food@IBBT `DarkMatr ´- December 4th, 2009

DarkMatr investigates the way data from the web and our physical world can be merged and presented in a total user experience. The installation uses representations that are recognizable for people and which people can empathize with. DarkMatr is interested in how to visualize complex patterns generated from the combination of physical and virtual data. Workshop: Please Enjoy the Social Web with Ji Lee - December 9th, 2009

Ji Lee is the Creative Director of Google Labs in New York. He will be at `Design at Work´ in Kortrijk on Wednesday December 9th, for a workshop organised by IBBT, Flanders DC, and IAB. Subscribe now to this unique workshop "Please Enjoy the social web", with Ji Lee and a Flemish panel of web 2.0 experts. He will talk about the inspirational mix of combining work and private life.

IPR workshop: additional IPR support for entrepreneurial trainees - December 10th, 2009

IBBT launches an IPR workshop for the second time this year.  Although open for all, this one is especially relevant for new iBoot candidates. The program of this IPR workshop will include a first-aid IP guide for entrepreneurs (theoretical approach), followed by some practical training with exercises related to IP searches, use of public databases, etc. We will close this event with a number of recent testimonials from within the IBBT network on topics such as IPR in spin-off creation, licensing, open source software and the `freedom to operate´ aspect.

Call for submissions FNG 2010 - The 3rd International Conference on Fun and Games - December 15th-17th, 2009

Fun 'n Games is a single-track, 2-day conference where academics and practitioners can interact together in a playful event that marries the best of academic writing with the most innovative user experiences. The conference invites original contributions from designers, developers and researchers in computer games, experience design and 'fun'. Fun `n Games, September 15th to 17th, 2010, is co-hosted by IBBT - CUO -KU Leuven. Tutorials, workshop proposals, full or short papers,... can be submitted.
