Mobile apps for culture
Written by IBBT on Monday 20 February 2012

What do you think about mobile apps offering integrated digitized information on cultural heritage and events? These days, a large amount of sources can be integrated using easy API's. Moreover, the open data movement is promoting further re-use of these public datasets.
On February 13 Mobile Monday session “Mobile aps for culture” took place in our offices in Ghent.
The evening started with a demo session about datasets in the cultural sector. Later on that evening different kinds of organisations, such as grass-root organizations, entrepreneurs, the Ghent city council and the Flemish administration, explained how they deal with their public datasets.
This inspiring session will undoubtedly lead to more creative solutions in the emerging field of API enabled public datasets...
