After a successful first edition in Flanders in 2009, the INCA award
(Innovative & Creative Applications) is back with a bigger challenge.
This competition for developers encourages them to build applications that are both cool and useful to society.
Fot the INCA 2010 edition, I2BC (Spain), Digiteo (France), LIEU (Belgium), MFG (Germany) and the New Factory (Finland) join forces with IBBT (Belgium) in order to promote ICT innovation all over Europe.
Applications have to be developed in 6 weeks time and they have to fit into this edition’s theme: inclusive society.
The current INCA (Innovative & Creative Applications) edition focuses on the ‘inclusive society’ in the broadest sense.
Applications that contribute to overcoming exclusion, and improving economic performance, employment opportunities, quality of life, social participation and cohesion. In keeping with the European spirit of the competition, this refers to the 2006 declaration on ‘ICT for inclusive society’ (Riga).
The new INCA call is launched today and the deadline for submission is November 8th, 2010.
The winning projects will be announced at the iMinds conference on December 16th 2010. The award ceremony will be streamed live to a number of local events in the other participating regions as well.
