ICON submission date postponed
Written by IBBT on Tuesday 20 April 2010

ICON submission date postponed due to eruptions of the Icelandic volcano Eyjafjallajökull
After several successful calls for ICON projects (Interdisciplinary Cooperative Research) in the past, IBBT launched the ICON call 2010 a few months ago. ICON projects replace the former GBO projects. The ICON procedure is strongly geared to IWT’s R&D procedure. By means of one single application procedure with IBBT, all companies complying with the IWT conditions will be able to apply directly for IWT support for the ICON project.
The final deadline for the ICON project call 2010 was Monday, April 26, 2010 (at noon). The vulcanic ash cloud above Europe impedes the finalization of some of the ICON proposals submission procedures. Thus, IBBT decided to extend the submission deadline under the condition that on Monday, April 26, 2010 (at noon) the following documents are submitted:
- Pg. 7 “Project Outline”
- Pg. 8 “Management summary”
- Pg. 9 A.1.1 “Title of the ICON-project" and A.1.2. “The partners”
The new deadline for the full proposals submission is Friday April, 30, 2010 (at noon).
The approval decision will follow in the autumn of 2010 and the approved projects could start as from January 1, 2011.
The custom templates and guidelines are available at our project documents page.
