The Global Game Jam (GGJ) is the world's largest game jam event taking place from January 28 till January 30. Global game Jam brings together thousands of game enthusiasts participating through many local jams around the world. In Belgium, Antwerp will be the place to be during the entire 48 hours.
Mission: Design & build a video game in 48 hours!
Besides the obvious endeavors to invent new and flashy games there will also be a mini conference on Friday afternoon with three well-known speakers from the game and multimedia industry.
Swen Vincke (Larian Studios), Ann Holvoet (Atari, Playlogic, Spellborn, i-TempTech) and Hendrik Everaerts (Design is Dead) will be giving a short motivational speech, tips & tricks for good game development and how to manage your project and be super-productive in small teams.
More than just “digital” game development!
If you would prefer to make a board game or a card game, feel free to do so!
This year the global organization is accepting non-digital games to be created during the game jam. This will open up the event to new target groups.
Follow the countdown on the Global Game Jam website until the first jams start in New Zealand!
