The IBBT Brokerage Event will take a whole new start with its 6th edition. In a day filling program we will bring together actors and experiences with very diverse backgrounds, in order to reflect on and discuss new ways of doing ICT innovation policies in Europe.
The importance of research and innovation in ICT is after all increasingly recognized as a key factor of economic and social progress of countries. The gap between traditional government-led ICT research policies and market-driven innovation, on the other hand, is getting bigger every day. Therefore, it is time to discuss the experiences and identify new shared paths for promoting ICT innovation in Europe.
Like the past few years, a number of keynote speakers will give their views on the issues at hand from their own perspectives. We will also bring a number of parallel sessions demonstrating the relevant research results. We will also aim for the developersŽ community this time, offering them the opportunity to develop new tools within their own track, and present these to the participants. Finally, we will also present an award of the brand new IBBT innovation prize competition.
More information on the program is to follow in the next couple of weeks, so donŽt forget to check out the website every once in a while: http://events.ibbt.be/brokerage.
