Written by IBBT on Thursday 28 April 2011

As announced on Gent M#3 about Open Data, there now is an Apps for Ghent as a result of Apps for Amsterdam. It is a competition in which the City of Ghent will put a number of data sets at your disposal to start coding. In the morning there will be a few short lightning talks about the available data.
During the afternoon there is time for interviews, a short lunch and discussions. In the afternoon you can take part in the 'hackaton'. By the end of the day each group will present the app to the jury and co-participants. Then the winner will be announced.
The event takes place on May 14th @ IBBT in Ghent. It starts at 10h and the coding ends around 17h30.
